I accidentally started a Murder, She Wrote fan club
Welcome to Cabot Cove Mother'effers
A few weeks back I was scrolling notes on the ‘stack and there was a little trend happening where writers were sharing pictures of Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and the City) and Jenna Rink (13 Going On 30) and they were captioning these images with cute little phrases like “me writing to my 3 subscribers” and “what I think I look like writing a blog post no one will ever see.”
Well, I am kind of a smart ass and I came up with this:
Then I stumbled upon this very emotive collection of images of Angela Lansbury and asked the internet for help:
And then somehow, Al Gore’s internet brought me this gem:
So of course, I bought the first book in the series (there are like 65 or so of them!) and I bought the first two seasons of Murder, She Wrote because I haven’t seen it since I was a wee babe, and now, here we are. I had no clue that the elder millennials had so much love for Jessica Fletcher and Cabot Cove.
So here we are, I’m writing this blog post/article about my new found obsession and literary icon and asking fellow ‘stackers if they want to start an unofficial Murder, She Wrote fan club.
So I’ll leave you with this. I’m not sure how I will pull this off, but I am working on brainstorming some ideas to create a little space where fellow “Fletcherettes” can gather and help each other by proofreading each others manuscripts, or just being a soundboard to riff ideas off of. Maybe this is a Discord add on, or maybe its my subscriber chat… I don’t have it all figured out yet but it if it ever comes to fruition, it will be a very casual, supportive and creative space for artists and writers to connect.
If you have any ideas on how to execute this zany idea, I am all ears!
